Job summary

Chiltern Way Academy Trust is seeking an IT Technician based at our Wendover site. This multi-site role requires travel across Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Wokingham, with three days at Bucks campuses and two days at Hampshire/Wokingham sites. A valid driving licence and access to a car are essential.

You will provide ICT support in classrooms, maintain computers and software, manage ICT assets and assist with network accounts to support pupils and staff. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Provide ICT support to staff in classrooms.
• Assist with maintenance, fault-fixing of computers.
• Maintain software integrity and perform virus removal when required.
• Assist with managing ICT equipment assets and stock.

Responsibilities

• Assist with provision of technical ICT support for staff in classrooms.
• Maintain computers around the school and organise repairs.
• Maintain a stock of ICT parts and assets.
• Maintain the asset system for ICT equipment.
• Maintain classroom resources per school policy.
• Maintain school networks, create new accounts, and assist users to access resources.
• Stay updated on ICT developments and liaise with ICT Technician and IT Operations Manager.

We're recruiting for an IT Technician based at our Wendover site. This is a multi-site role, requiring travel across our schools in Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Wokingham. The successful candidate will spend two days per week supporting our Hampshire and Wokingham schools and three days per week supporting our Buckinghamshire school campuses. As regular travel is required, applicants must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car.

Job Role:

• Assisting with the provision of technical support for staff using ICT in the classroom
• Assisting with the maintenance and fault fixing of all computers around the school and organise where necessary if repairs are required
• Assisting with maintaining a stock of parts needed for general computer repairs
• Assisting with maintaining the asset system for any ICT equipment.
• Assisting with maintaining the integrity of software, virus removal, and software reinstallation when required.
• Assisting with maintaining classroom resources according to the school’s policy.
• Assisting with maintaining the continued operation of the School networks, setting up new accounts, maintain password integrity, and assist pupils and staff to access network resources .
• Keep up to date with ICT developments and liaise with the ICT Technician and IT Operations Manager over future developments.
