Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an IT Technician to provide 1st and 2nd line support across multiple school sites within a central Trust IT team. You will manage Windows, AD, and Microsoft 365, assist with AV setups, and support network connectivity.

The role requires good customer service, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team. A driving licence and willingness to travel to schools are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing 1st and 2nd line IT support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Office 365.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and basic networking.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience within an educational environment desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Appropriate qualifications and training for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and software.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and Windows operating systems.
  • Set up and support AV equipment, projectors, and video conferencing systems.
  • Manage Active Directory accounts and password resets.
  • Assist with network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi and physical connectivity.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset, software, and equipment records.
  • Support schools with day-to-day IT issues and technical queries.
  • Follow health, safety, and IT security procedures.
