The Role
Watling Academy is seeking an innovative and dedicated IT Technician to join our innovative team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in our Cloud migration journey, working within a collaborative Trust IT team.
- Provide technical support for staff and students, managing daily IT operations, including LAN, switching, firewalls, cabling, and user accounts on Prem AD and Azure AD.
- Oversee and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment, covering Security, Endpoint Manager, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and system backups, while monitoring security alerts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with interactive whiteboards, end-user devices, and other school technologies, ensuring smooth classroom functionality.
- Collaborate with IT contractors, support website updates, and contribute to the development of the Trust’s IT network with clear documentation and project management.
- Bring expertise in Windows Server networks, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous learning, supporting the overall success of the IT team.

Watling Academy is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ secondary school situated on the western edge of Milton Keynes, encompassing the Whitehouse and Fairfields developments. Opening in September 2020, our school is a new and vibrant learning community for students aged 11-18.
