Job summary

Spott in Bolton is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join a small, close-knit IT team, providing technical support across the HQ and locations in the Northwest. A driving licence and car are essential due to field requirements.

You will support EPOS systems, manage and maintain hardware and software, and lead system rollouts while training staff and supporting end-users across sites. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, VMware, SQL and networking is required.

An opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Engineer to join a small, tight-knit IT team, providing technical support across the HQ and locations throughout the Northwest.

Due to the field requirement for this role, a driving licence and car are essential.

Key Requirements

Providing supporting to EPOS systems.

Provide training to staff members throughout the Northwest.

Managing and maintaining existing hardware and software.

Responsible for system rollouts.

Provide support for business end-users.

Key Skills

Proven experience in an IT Support or similar technical role.

Strong all-round understanding of IT infrastructure, systems and networking.

Experience supporting Windows Server environments and troubleshooting hardware and software.

Practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL.

Proven experience supporting and maintaining EPOS hardware and software.

Microsoft: Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server and Office applications.

Networking: DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switches and firewall configurations.

Infrastructure: VMware, Veeam, desktop, laptop and server configuration.
