Job summary

Caremark is seeking an IT Systems Trainer to deliver engaging software and digital platform training across field and office environments. You will empower franchise teams to adopt new systems while ensuring compliance and efficient workflows.

The role is field-based with a typical mix of office and on-site work, up to 3-4 days weekly, with a 35-hour workweek and a salary up to £38,000 per year. Reporting to the Director of Technology, this position offers strong development in a purpose-driven

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering training on software systems and digital platforms.
  • Experience in care sector or similar regulated environment.
  • Strong communication and people-skills for coaching diverse users.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical training and coaching for approved software, online and in person.
  • Support onboarding for new Franchise Owners with initial software setup.
  • Update and revise training materials and courses to reflect system changes.
  • Manage training projects and workstreams including upgrades and testing.
  • Support relationships with Franchise Owners, Support Centre staff and suppliers.
  • Audit offices to ensure correct system usage and digital practices.
  • Carry out additional duties within scope of employment as required by Directors.

IT Systems Trainer

Location: Field Based. Typical weekly office and field-based time to be determined by line manager, subject to business requirements, expected to be up to 3-4 days per week serving our offices out in the field.

Full-time: 35 hours per week.

Reports to: Director of Technology

Up to £38,000 per year

The IT Systems Trainer plays a pivotal role in empowering our franchise network to make the most of the technology that supports the delivery of outstanding care. This is more than just a training role. It's an opportunity to shape the way people work, build confidence in new systems, and drive the successful adoption of technology across the business.

As a trusted subject matter expert, you'll play an important role in supporting system rollouts, promoting best practice, and helping colleagues embrace new ways of working. Through a combination of training, coaching, and ongoing support, you'll help ensure our teams have the skills and confidence they need to work efficiently, remain compliant, and focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care and support to their communities.

What you’ll be doing
  • Provide technical support to new and existing Franchise Owners for approved software
  • Delivering training and coaching for approved software, both online and face to face
  • Supporting new Franchise Owners with their initial software onboarding
  • Provide advice and guidance on system related issues to users and management team members
  • Prepare, update and revise training materials and courses
  • Manage projects and work-streams including training, system upgrades, changes, and system testing
  • Support relationships with Franchise Owners, Franchise Support Centre staff and approved suppliers
  • Support with auditing offices to ensure correct system usage and appropriate digital practices are being adhered to
  • From time to time, carry out duties that may fall outside the summary of the role at the request of the Directors that are within the scope and spirit of employment with Caremark.

  • Knowledge of domiciliary care would be beneficial
  • Ability to remain professional when handling challenging queries and customers
  • Be proficient in using Microsoft Office products
  • Have experience of operational software/systems training or skills development
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly

Preferred candidates will have experience in using rostering software such as Access People Planner or similar rostering software used in domiciliary care businesses. It would also be preferred if candidates have experience in training or coaching users oneffective use of software.
