Job summary

Home Instead Doncaster is seeking a confident Care Manager to lead our day-to-day domiciliary care service for older people in the local community. You will oversee client assessments, care planning and a team of Care Professionals, ensuring safe, compliant and compassionate delivery.

Qualifications

  • Extensive care experience with a proven track record in delivering consistent excellent customer service.
  • Proven experience in leading, training and managing a team to provide high quality domiciliary care services.
  • Have or be willing to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of compliance and legislative requirements of the Care Standards regulations.
  • Strong skills in conducting care assessment and care planning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of our care service in a safe, effective, and compliant manner.
  • Oversee enquiries, client assessments, care planning, risk assessments and quality assurance visits.
  • Inspire and develop Care Professionals and office team while maintaining safe staffing levels.
  • Manage complaints, incidents and investigations, using learning to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and timely reporting to bodies including CQC and safeguarding partners.
  • Collaborate with Franchise Owner on recruitment, training, payroll, budgets and growth.
  • Build strong local relationships and raise awareness of Home Instead in the community and via digital channels.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and respond calmly when support is needed.

Are you an experienced care leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred support? Home Instead Doncaster is looking for a confident and compassionate Care Manager to lead our day-to-day operations, support our team and help grow a high-quality domiciliary care service for older people across the local community.

About you
  • You have substantial experience in care and a strong track record of delivering excellent service.
  • You have successfully led, trained and managed teams in domiciliary care.
  • You hold, or are willing to work towards, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
  • You understand care regulation, compliance, assessments and care planning.
  • You are an organised, commercially aware communicator who can inspire others and manage competing priorities.
  • You are confident using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, databases and virtual communication tools.
  • You have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel across the community is required.

  • Be flexible to meet demands of the business including participating in an on-call rota.
  • Good working knowledge of IT Systems with experience of Microsoft Office or Google Suite, working with databases and virtual communication platforms with the ability to learn and adopt new technologies where appropriate.
  • Due to the need to support the On-Call function, which may require the support of team members out in the field in emergency situations, and the requirement to travel throughout the community to conduct new client assessments, you should have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
