Job summary

IMI plc is seeking an IT Support Specialist to manage in-house IT systems, service desk and end-user devices. You will ensure high availability, security and smooth operation of business-critical applications, working with internal IT teams and external suppliers.

Responsibilities include first-line support, network checks, server and device maintenance, and security tasks. You will document activities, and contribute to continuous improvement while aligning with Cyber Essential Plus standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows Server 2019+.
• Strong experience with Active Directory and VMware vSphere.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and network hardware (Cisco switches).
• Experience imaging laptops/PCs to standard builds.
• Good understanding of security and endpoint protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to end users and resolve tickets promptly.
• Maintain network infrastructure and monitor connectivity.
• Install, configure and maintain servers and end-user devices.
• Perform basic security tasks and assist with audits.
• Keep accurate records of assets and changes, and support DR/BCP.
