Job summary

Summit Systems Ltd in Tamworth is seeking an IT Systems and Automation Specialist/Manager to own and improve the IT environment, with hands-on responsibility for business systems and ongoing automation initiatives. The role reports to the Operations Director and requires commuting to the Tamworth office.

Salary £40,000–£50,000 per year, perm contract. You will drive Dynamics 365 transitions, collaborate with partners and departments, and implement AI-enabled improvements across the business.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands‑on Dynamics 365 experience in administration, configuration, support or implementation.
• Broad IT support across Microsoft 365, identity and permissions, user devices, connectivity, infrastructure, security fundamentals and recovery arrangements.
• Experience supporting system implementation, upgrades, integration or migration, including requirements, testing, documentation and user adoption.
• Practical experience building or maintaining business automation, with Power Automate or Logic Apps, including connectors, APIs and data mapping.
• Current knowledge of AI tools and their business use with appropriate controls and human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support for office, field and operational teams including devices, apps and connectivity.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and related services including SharePoint and OneDrive within policies.
• Maintain inventory of devices, licenses, suppliers and renewals; manage onboarding, role changes and access approvals.
• Oversee networks, internet services, Wi‑Fi, servers and cloud services; coordinate maintenance and upgrades.
• Maintain backups, endpoint protection and incident response; support business continuity.
• Support configuration, data issues and reporting; train colleagues and maintain support records.
• Track supplier performance and licence renewals; obtain quotations and manage budgets.
