Job summary

Gerrell & Hard Limited in Great Yarmouth is seeking an IT Support Technician to join the IT team. The role covers on-site and remote support across multiple locations, with responsibility for Windows Server AD, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Teams.

You will manage user onboarding/offboarding, configure Windows endpoints, and maintain network infrastructure while working with remote team members to resolve incidents and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience supporting corporate IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Teams.
• Knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience with enterprise networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support and system administration across Windows Server AD, Microsoft Entra ID, M365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Teams.
• Onboarding, role changes and offboarding including account creation and licence allocation.
• Build, configure, deploy and support Windows endpoints with asset/configuration records.
• Diagnose hardware, OS, application and peripheral issues.
• Monitor and maintain local network infrastructure including switches, WLANs, firewalls and remote access.
• Install, configure and support software, monitor compliance and deploy patches.
• Collaborate with third-party support to resolve issues.
• Manage user accounts via Active Directory/Azure AD.
• Support remote IT team members and cover shifts.
• Manage incidents and requests through ITSM system; prioritize by impact/urgency.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Monitor backups and investigate failures; follow security policies.
