Job summary
Bupa is seeking an IT Support Technician to assist with IT operations, desktop and network support, and implementing new systems. You will provide a customer-friendly support service to end users and help keep the IT infrastructure up to date.
Responsibilities include first/second line support, backups, network monitoring, and training users on applications. You will liaise with suppliers and contribute to improving IT services across the hospital.
Qualifications
- Experience in IT support, service desk, or helpdesk roles.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi).
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second line desktop, software and network support.
- Ensure IT infrastructure is up to date.
- Assist with backups and disaster recovery tasks.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network security and performance.
- Maintain hospital internet and email systems.
- Train and advise users on system applications.
- Liaise with third party software suppliers.
- Handle data administration to keep information current.
