About the role

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will provide Level 1 and Level 2 support across the Foundation. You will resolve issues on site, over the phone and remotely, record and manage support tickets, and help keep our systems, devices and documentation secure and up to date.

This is an in-person role with very limited scope for remote working. A driving licence is required because the post supports services across the Foundation, and occasional out-of-hours flexibility may be needed. Hours of working are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 each week and the salary offered is £25,000 per annum.

What you will be doing
  • Creating and managing user accounts, groups, permissions and passwords in Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Setting up laptops, PCs and mobile devices.
  • Logging support tickets and resolving IT issues remotely, by phone and on site.
  • Monitoring and maintaining servers and workstations and carrying out routine network maintenance.
  • Managing email, anti-spam and virus protection.
  • Helping staff recognise phishing risks through awareness activity, including mock phishing exercises.
  • Supporting service users with the setup and troubleshooting of electronic devices.
  • Maintaining clear, accurate documentation and safeguarding the security of service users, systems and data.

As a Strode Park Foundation colleague, you will get comprehensive support from day one and will receive training and development opportunities to develop your skills.

This role is based at Strode Park House (part of Strode Park Foundation) but will go to our other sites in Canterbury, Faversham and Rainham as required. Strode Park House is a 19th Century Victorian Manor House set on 14 acres of beautiful grounds in the picturesque village of Herne, Kent.

Strode Park Foundation, established in 1946, is an independent charity working to provide high quality services to meet the changing and individual needs of young people and adults with disabilities. We believe in independence, well-being and choice, and promote these ideals throughout our care services, enabling people to live life the way they choose. • GCSEs at grades 9–4 (A–C) in English language and maths, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a helpful, user-focused approach.

  • A full driving licence and flexibility to work occasional unsocial hours when required.
  • An A Level or BTEC in IT, or similar, would be desirable. Knowledge of WatchGuard routers and Microsoft Intune would also be an advantage.
