Job description

Binyan is seeking a highly motivated IT Support Technician with 3–5 years of hands-on experience and a strong drive to advance into a Systems Administrator role. As the primary point of contact for our London team, you'll be an independent problem solver who also thrives as a team player, collaborating closely with our core IT team in Australia. Your growth mindset will be key as you evolve with our business into a valued member, and your positive attitude and genuine commitment to helping others will ensure our global operations run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to Level 1/Level 2 helpdesk tickets (hardware, software, network, cloud, security, access and onboarding/offboarding requests)
  • Troubleshoot incidents onsite and remotely using ticketing tools
  • Work closely with Systems Administrators and Helpdesk colleagues in Australia
  • Coordinate cross-region support for the New York and Katmandu offices during peak times or escalations
  • Escalate complex issues to the senior Systems Administrator when required
  • Follow through to ensure timely resolution and document workarounds or fixes
  • Install, configure and maintain artist workstations, laptops, peripherals and AV equipment
  • Assist with meeting-room setup, on-prem infrastructure checks, and office moves
  • Contribute to documentation of support processes, FAQs and knowledge-base articles
  • Identify recurring issues and propose preventative solutions or automations
  • Shadow and assist Systems Administrators on projects (cloud migration, security rollouts, backups)
  • Take ownership of smaller admin tasks (user provisioning, group policy updates) to build toward a SysAdmin career

Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role
  • Strong customer-service orientation and excellent verbal/written communication
  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Google Workspace, basic macOS support
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, VPNs, printing services and common network troubleshooting
  • Able to prioritise a busy ticket queue and manage multiple tasks under tight SLAs
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across time zones and cultures
  • Experience working in a visual FX studio a bonus

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
  • ITIL Foundation certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Any vendor certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus
