Job summary

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our IT team. The role blends traditional IT support with software development, focusing on keeping systems reliable, secure and efficient while contributing to new applications and improvements to existing systems.

You will provide day-to-day IT support, install and maintain devices, support Windows/M365/AD, troubleshoot issues, and help develop internal software using C# and .NET.

Qualifications

• Solid problem-solving and attention to detail required.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written communication and genuine passion for IT.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with C#/.NET development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support to users across the business.
• Install, configure and maintain PCs, laptops, software and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and server environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Set up new users, devices and system access.
• Maintain and support servers, infrastructure and business systems.
• Produce clear documentation for systems and processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability and security.
• Assist with research, design and implementation of new IT solutions.
• Develop and enhance internal software using C# and .NET.
• Write SQL queries, reports and data extracts with high accuracy.
• Prioritise and resolve support requests within the ticketing system.
• Ensure procedures, health and safety, and environmental standards are followed.
