Job summary

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Group is seeking IT Support Engineers to provide high-quality first and second line IT support across school environments in Manchester. You will troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and classroom tech within a Microsoft-based infrastructure and help users with Microsoft 365 apps.

You will manage Active Directory/Entra ID, assist with onboarding, maintain documentation, and escalate complex issues while upholding safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience supporting Active Directory / Entra ID.
• Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
• Strong troubleshooting for hardware and software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support across school environments.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers and classroom technology.
• Support Windows 10/11 devices and Microsoft-based infrastructure.
• Administer Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• Manage users, groups and permissions in Active Directory / Entra ID.
• Troubleshoot wired and wireless networking issues.
• Assist onboarding/offboarding staff and user accounts.
• Maintain IT documentation, assets and support tickets.
• Escalate complex issues; work within safeguarding-focused schools.
