Applause IT Recruitment Ltd Manchester-based manufacturing client is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join its internal IT team. You will provide 1st and 2nd line support across multiple sites and help maintain business-critical Microsoft technologies.

The role covers desktops, printers, AD, DNS/DHCP, VPN, and ongoing infrastructure projects. A full UK driving licence is required; salary around £32,000+ DOE with permanent, full-time status.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in IT Support, Service Desk or 2nd Line role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, Intune, Windows Server, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1st and 2nd Line IT support to users across multiple sites.
• Manage incidents and service requests through to resolution.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and mobile devices.
• Support Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune environments.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows Server.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and networking issues.
• Support VPN, Wi-Fi, DNS and DHCP environments.
• Assist with IT infrastructure upgrades and business improvement projects.
• Maintain documentation and asset records.
• Deliver a high level of customer service to users.

Location: Whitefield & Royton, Greater Manchester | Salary: 32,000+ DOE | Job Type: Permanent Full Time

The Opportunity

A well-established manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced IT Support Engineer to join its internal IT team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied support role, providing both 1st and 2nd Line support while also getting involved in infrastructure improvements and technology projects. You'll support users across office, warehouse and manufacturing environments, ensuring business-critical systems remain operational.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience Required

• Commercial experience with:

• Experience troubleshooting desktop, hardware and networking issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple support requests.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
