Job summary

Emplyfy is seeking an experienced IT engineer for an MSP role combining remote support and on-site visits for customer environments. You will troubleshoot incidents, install and maintain hardware and software, and manage tickets within SLAs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT engineering, strong knowledge of Cyber Essentials, GDPR, Microsoft 365, Intune and Azure, plus networking and server hardening. UK-wide travel is supported; a competitive salary and 40 days holiday are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in IT engineering or a similar role.
• Experience with Cyber Essentials and GDPR security standards (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Email, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive (mandatory).
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, RMM solutions and telephone platforms.
• Networking infrastructure knowledge: routers, switches, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Firewalls and VLANs.
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and related security policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to customers and act as a trusted point of contact for support matters.
• Visit customer sites to investigate and resolve technical issues, perform installations and maintenance.
• Manage incidents, requests and ongoing technical tasks via the Service Desk system.
• Provide customers with regular updates and ensure tickets progress within SLAs.
• Escalate complex issues to Management when appropriate.
• Organise daily workloads and prioritise urgent tasks.
• Monitor environments to ensure reliability and business alignment.
• Install, configure, test, maintain and repair IT hardware/software.
• Maintain accurate ticket information and document work.
• Respond to major incidents remotely and on customer sites.
