Job summary

Emplyfy is seeking an experienced IT engineer for a hands-on role delivering support and infrastructure services to a range of well-known businesses. The role includes remote and on-site work, direct customer engagement and proactive incident resolution.

You will handle incidents, perform installations, maintain systems, and work with external suppliers where needed. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in a busy MSP environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a similar IT engineering role.
• Cyber Essentials and GDPR security standards knowledge (mandatory).
• Microsoft 365 services expertise (Email, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive) (mandatory).
• Experience with network infrastructure, routers, switches, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls and VLANs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional customer-facing manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to customers and act as a trusted contact for support matters.
• Visit customer sites to investigate and resolve issues, perform installations and maintenance.
• Manage incidents, requests and ongoing technical tasks through the Service Desk system.
• Provide customers with regular updates and ensure tickets progress within SLAs.
• Escalate high-priority issues to Management when appropriate.
• Organise daily workloads and ensure urgent tasks are handled.
• Monitor customer environments to ensure reliability and business alignment.
• Install, configure, test, maintain and repair IT hardware, software and systems.
• Maintain accurate ticket information and document work and actions.
• Respond to major incidents remotely and on customer locations.
