Job summary

QA is seeking an IT Support Apprentice to gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment while working towards a nationally recognised SCQF Level 8 IT Support qualification.

Working alongside experienced IT professionals, you’ll develop practical skills in technical support, troubleshooting, customer service, digital transformation, and IT service delivery, while building the foundations for a long‑term career in technology.

Responsibilities

• Providing first-line IT support to users via phone, email, and ticketing systems
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Setting up and configuring laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and user accounts
• Supporting Microsoft 365 applications and cloud technologies
• Monitoring and maintaining IT systems and services
• Managing IT assets and maintaining accurate documentation
• Assisting with IT projects, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Delivering excellent customer service and ensuring timely resolution of support requests

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing first-line IT support to users via phone, email, and ticketing systems

• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues

• Setting up and configuring laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and user accounts

• Supporting Microsoft 365 applications and cloud technologies

• Monitoring and maintaining IT systems and services

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
