Cardiff University is seeking enquirers for an enrolment IT support role, assisting students with setting up IT services such as Eduroam and MFA. You’ll provide customer-focused help and signpost self-help resources, reporting to University IT.
The job is part-time, on-site, with a 20-hour week on a rota basis. The role runs 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday for 6 weeks (commencing 21 September 2026) with weekend work on 26-27 September.
Within University IT, the student support team will be available during enrolment to assist students with setting up IT services such as onboarding devices to Eduroam and setting up multi-factor authentication (MFA). The team will be located across campus to offer face-to-face advice to students, as well as responding to email queries where needed.
In this role you will provide customer support, signpost self-help instructions and, where needed, offer assistance for students to set up their initial IT services.
The hours of work will be on a rota basis between 9am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week) for 6 weeks, commencing 21 September 2026 and ending 30 October 2026. In addition, weekend work will be required on 26 and 27 September 2026. Training will be provided on 22 September 2026.
Four successful applicants will have the opportunity to extend their contracts to cover the full academic year (commencing 2 November 2026) at 15 hours per week, subject to performance and availability.

This is a Jobshop appointment, open to current Cardiff University students. The rate of pay is £13.45 per hour plus 12.07% holiday pay.
