We are looking for a Part Time Research Assistant to join the National Centre for Mental Health (NCMH) Intervention Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to pioneering research in mental health intervention, with a focus on the use of Targeted Memory Reactivation during sleep as a potential treatment for PTSD and depression.

In this role, you will:
  • Support the clinical evaluation of a novel intervention aimed at alleviating traumatic memories through Targeted Memory Reactivation during sleep, with the goal of reducing symptoms of PTSD and depression.
  • Undertake research by planning, preparing, setting up and conducting research via a range of methods such as questionnaires and interviews.
  • Actively participate within the research group, communicating and presenting research with internal and external partners.
  • Conduct overnight studies in the CUBRIC sleep lab.

This post is based at the Hadyn Ellis Building, Cathays campus.

This post is part-time (24.5 hours per week), available from immediately and fixed term until 1st June 2029.

Salary: £33,951 - £36,636 per annum, pro rata (Grade 5). Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances.
