Job summary

Back To Work is seeking an IT & Networking Apprentice in North Yorkshire to join a friendly team. You’ll learn how modern organisations use technology to communicate, collaborate, and operate, while gaining hands-on experience supporting users, setting up devices, maintaining networks, and troubleshooting issues.

No two days are the same. You will work with senior engineers on customer projects, log issues in the helpdesk, and study toward a recognised qualification.

About the Role

As an IT & Networking Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers who support businesses with their day-to-day technology needs. You'll learn how modern organisations use technology to communicate, collaborate, and operate effectively.

You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting users, setting up devices, maintaining networks, and troubleshooting technical issues while working towards a recognised qualification.

No two days are the same. One day you might be helping a customer get back online, and the next you could be assisting with the setup of new equipment for an entire office.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing friendly support to customers via phone, email, and remote support tools.
• Helping users with common IT issues and queries.
• Setting up laptops, desktops, monitors, and mobile devices.
• Assisting with network installations and connectivity checks.
• Learning how business Wi-Fi, internet connections, and network equipment operate.
• Supporting Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Logging customer issues through the helpdesk system.
• Working alongside senior engineers on customer projects.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Learning industry-standard technologies and best practices.
