Job Description:
IT Network & Telecommunications Administrator
Salary: £36,000 - £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm (40 hour week)
Location: Southampton office based

Responsibilities
- Designs and develops complex, integrated solutions to meet business requirements or enhance performance of Garmin’s network and telecommunications systems.
- Performs cost analyses and vendor comparisons for projects to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Continuously develops expertise on network & telecommunications systems and emerging technologies.
- Communicates effectively regarding system operations and changes.
- Ensures compliance with SOX, PCI, and other regulatory requirements.
- Manages capacity, redundancy, and health of network & telecommunications systems.
- Ensures security requirements are met or exceeded.
- Uses standards and procedures proficiently.
- Communicates effectively in a team or departmental setting.
- Mentors less experienced IT Administrators.
- Provides solutions using problem-solving techniques, including root cause analysis.
- Plans and performs minor system upgrades.
- Uses tools and scripting for efficient management.
- Recommends component improvements.
- Identifies system interdependencies.
- Coordinates cross-team changes.
- Participates in system roadmap planning.
- Leads meetings with IT system users.
- Adapts to change and welcomes feedback.
- Monitors security access levels.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 2 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Ability to solve technical problems independently.
- Experience in implementing technology solutions.
- Strong communication skills.
- Effective documentation and organization skills.
- Understanding of IT Infrastructure, including Telephony: Avaya, SIP, Microsoft Teams Voice.
