Description
Responsible for overseeing and managing the organisation's technology infrastructure, ensuring smooth functioning of IT systems and maintaining information security.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement the annual IT business plan to support firmwide objectives and goals.
• Lead and manage IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, new technologies ensuring successful and efficient completion.
• Manage relationship with outsourcing IT service provider to maintain IT technical support to end users and IT business needs, monitor provider's service performance. Own all IT support issues, including direct remediation where possible.
• Ensure all IT matters are considered regarding business continuity and disaster recovery, including data backups.
• Manage IT risks by identifying, assessing and mitigating technology risks to safeguard data, systems and operations. These risks include cyber threats, hardware software failures, system vulnerabilities, human errors and natural disasters.
• Ensure IT compliance with relevant current and future laws, regulations and industry best practice.
• Develop and maintain IT related policies and cyber security training and awareness programs (including accompanying delivery of training).
• Represent the IT function at client / prospect meetings.
• Represent to the IT function at internal meetings (including board / management committee meetings where appropriate).
• Other ad hoc tasks as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications and Experience
• University degree level (preferably in Information Technology related field) or equivalent through experience.
• At least 3 years of working experience in IT management related managerial role.
• Experience of hands on resolution of IT issues an advantage
• Experience with working in regulated financial services sector an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience with GDPR, DORA, SOC1/SOC2, technology risk management, IT risk controls an advantage.
Skills
• Strong understanding of information technology, computer systems, IT security protocols (including cyber security principles)
• Experience with project management work
• Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
