Job summary

Free-Work UK in London seeks an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a globally operating team. The role requires 3 to 5+ years in corporate IT, providing 2nd line support and maintaining IT infrastructure across offices.

You will communicate in English with office users and in Japanese with HQ, guiding deployments and providing end-user training. The position is based in the City of London, offering exposure to global IT projects, incident management, and collaboration with vendors.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in IT Service management operations.
• Basic network knowledge (TCP/IP, proxy, firewall, switching, routing and WiFi).
• Basic operating system knowledge (Windows10, Windows Server, Azure).
• Basic Microsoft Office 365 knowledge.
• Second line technical support and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• IT Infrastructure related project execution.
• Coordinate with HQ project lead (Japanese).
• Coordinate with office users (English).
• Provide end-user support during deployment/migration (manuals, training).
• Global User Support.
• Act as 2/3 line support for IT infra inquiries and incidents.
• Escalate incidents to vendors as needed.
• Incident management with the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow).

IT Infrastructure Engineer

Our Client is a Global organisation with offices in the City of London.

They are now looking to recruit an IT infrastructure system support and maintenance Engineer with at least 5 years experience in 1 to 3 level experience in support.

You will be working with users using Japanese and English, working closely with related parties to ensure a coordinated approach to IT infrastructure support and projects.

• IT Infrastructure related project
• Communicate and coordinate with the person in charge of the project in HQ (in Japanese)
• Communicate and coordinate with the user in each office (in English)
• Provide support for to end users during system deployment/migration(User manual, user training)
• Global User Support
• Act as 2/3 line support for IT infrastructure related enquiries and incidents.
• Escalate the incidents to the appropriate vendors.
• Incident management with the ticketing system (etc. ServiceNow).

The salary for this position will be in the range £35K - £45K.
