Job summary

Onyx-Conseil is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer for a global organisation with offices in the City of London. The role involves 2nd/3rd line IT infrastructure support, project coordination, and end-user assistance during deployments, with communication in English and Japanese.

You will work with diverse teams and vendors, ensuring a coordinated approach to IT infrastructure support and projects. A minimum of 3–5 years in corporate IT is expected, including Windows, Office 365, and network

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years IT experience in a corporate environment.
• Second line technical support and incident management.
• Experience with Windows Server, Windows 10, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Cisco or Fortinet networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd/3rd line IT infrastructure support and incidents resolution.
• Escalate incidents to vendors as appropriate and manage through to resolution.
• Coordinate with HQ and office users in English/Japanese for IT projects.
• Support end users during system deployments and migrations.

Job description

IT Infrastructure Engineer

Our Client is a Global organisation with offices in the City of London.

They are now looking to recruit an IT infrastructure system support and maintenance Engineer with at least 5 years experience in 1 to 3 level experience in support.

You will be working with users using Japanese and English, working closely with related parties to ensure a coordinated approach to IT infrastructure support and projects.

• IT Infrastructure related project

• Communicate and coordinate with the person in charge of the project in HQ (in Japanese)
• Communicate and coordinate with the user in each office (in English)

• Provide support to end users during system deployment/migration(User manual, user training)

• Global User Support

• Act as 2/3 line support for IT infrastructure related enquiries and incidents.
• Escalate the incidents to the appropriate vendors.
• Incident management with the ticketing system (etc. ServiceNow).

Skills / Knowledge:

Technical

• Proven working experience in IT Service management operations
• Basic network knowledge (e.g. TCP/IP, proxy, firewall, switching, routing and WiFi)
• Basic operation system knowledge (e.g. Windows10, Windows server, Azure)
• Basic Microsoft Office 365 knowledge
• Second line level technical support and problem-solving skill

• Candidate needs to have strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Adoptability to work in a fast-changing environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in English & Japanese language skills (Reading/Writing/Speaking).
• User facing support skills
• Self-motivated and an innovative mindset

Experience:

• 3 to 5+ years IT experience in a corporate environment.

The salary for this position will be in the range £35K - £45K.

The Client is based in the City of London.
