Job summary

The Client in London’s Paddington area is seeking an IT Infrastructure Team Leader to guide a skilled team responsible for on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including network, hosting, and servers.

You will drive incident and change management, DR/BCP, and vendor relations, delivering infrastructure services in alignment with strategy and roadmaps. A background of 5–7 years in hands-on leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of supporting a large 24x7 operations and leading a multi-skilled team through change
• Technically delivered a Cloud migration project
• Exceptional people management skills to inspire and motivate a team of highly technical specialists
• Managing internal and third-party resources to plan, design, build and run the enterprise IT infrastructure
• Experience delivering infrastructure changes in a fast paced, high frequency change environment
• Understanding of enterprise best practice infrastructure management, including automation/orchestration, monitoring, and logging
• Experience in mixed on-premises/cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
• Knowledge of information security threats and prevention methods
• ITIL V3 Foundation certified and ITIL-aligned environments
• Excellent stakeholder management experience
• Broad understanding of technologies to enhance service offerings (e.g., Microsoft stack, virtualization, data centre)

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop a 3rd line infrastructure engineering team
• Collaborate with IT management, 3rd parties, and product owners to deliver infrastructure services
• Oversee infrastructure governance and ensure roadmaps and architecture are followed
• Manage incidents, changes, and requests per SLA/OLA
• Serve as first escalation point for service/delivery issues
• Lead proactive incident, problem, change, and configuration management
• Ensure adequate resources to meet ongoing support requirements
• Maintain DR/BCP plans with regular testing and defined RPOs/RTOs
• Manage third-party relationships to add value
