Job summary

Jago Consultants is seeking an IT Field Engineer to join their Eastleigh team. The role is split roughly 50/50 between field work and service desk support, focusing on networking and client-driven IT tasks. You will travel to customer sites and work remotely on issues that can’t be resolved on-site.

The position involves installing IT hardware, supporting Windows, 365, and Windows Server environments, and contributing to network projects with the team. A UK driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience using a ticketing system and remote support tools.
• Strong understanding of standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of Windows, 365, Windows Server and MacOS.
• Knowledge of IT applications, software and hardware.
• Full UK driving license (mileage paid).
• Excellent customer service and team player.

Responsibilities

• Handle IT support tickets within the ticketing system.
• Work as part of the service desk to plan resolutions.
• Contract customers and work remotely on IT issues.
• Travel to customer sites for issues not solvable remotely.
• Install computers, network equipment and IT hardware at client sites.
• Develop skills through training and teamwork.
• Assist with projects such as full network installations and Microsoft 365 deployments.
