Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking an IT Field Engineer / Deskside Support Engineer for London, Home Counties and surrounding areas. The role offers £40,000 - £48,000 with all travel expenses paid, plus pension, private healthcare, life assurance and generous holiday allowance.

In this field-based role you will provide onsite and remote support across multiple client environments, troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365 issues.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in a customer-facing IT support role.
• Experience within an MSP environment desirable.
• Strong Microsoft 365, Intune and AD expertise.
• Knowledge of networking and endpoint security.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote IT support to clients in London and Home Counties.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Manage Active Directory, Intune, Autopilot and endpoint devices.
• Perform hardware repairs, deployments, upgrades and audits.

IT Field Engineer / Deskside Support Engineer

Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer looking for a varied, customer-facing field role where you can work with a wide range of technologies, support growing businesses, and join a well-established MSP that invests in both its people and long-term development?

The business continues to expand and is looking for a motivated engineer who enjoys working directly with customers and taking ownership of technical challenges.

In this role, you will provide both onsite and remote support across multiple client environments, troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365-related issues. You will also assist with device deployments, endpoint management, user administration, documentation, and proactive maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a deskside, field, or onsite support position, ideally within an MSP environment. You will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and strong technical knowledge across Microsoft technologies, endpoint management, and networking.

The Role:

• Provide onsite and remote IT support to a range of clients across London and the Home Counties
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365 issues
• Manage Active Directory, Intune, Autopilot, and endpoint devices
• Perform hardware repairs, deployments, upgrades, and audits
• Maintain documentation, tickets, and IT asset records
• Support proactive monitoring, backup testing, and service improvements

The Person:

• 3-5 years' experience in a customer-facing IT support role
• Experience within an MSP environment desirable
• Strong Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, and Windows support skills
• Knowledge of networking, mobile device management, and endpoint security
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
