Job Description:
Job Title: EUC IT Desktop Support Technician
Job Type & Location: Onsite | 5 days a week (40 hrs/week) | Range Road, Witney OX29 0YL
Job Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience providing IT Infrastructure support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and OS issues, ensuring compliance with hardware warranties and security policies.
- Experience in installing, troubleshooting, and fixing desktops, printers, laptops, and peripherals, as well as desktop applications.
- Basic knowledge of LAN and WAN setups. Ability to perform hands-on activities at sites.
- Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Expertise in desk-side support and PC repair, with basic administration of Windows, Mac, or Linux OS.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
- Support for peripherals and networking hardware, including monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, routers, switches, firewalls, racks, and panels.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for systems and network issues, including end-user cabling.
- Experience in problem management and preventive actions.
Communication & Personal Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines, take ownership, and work proactively with urgency.
- Customer management skills and ability to interact at different levels.
- Driven, result-oriented, passionate about work, and able to work independently or in teams.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Electronics preferred.
- CompTIA A+ Certification preferred.
- Vendor certifications from OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, etc.) advantageous.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Flexible work schedule availability.
