Job summary

Strategic Resources European Recruitment Consultants Ltd seeks an experienced IT Change Manager in Aberdeen to lead technology aspects of acquisitions, integrations and business change initiatives across the UK and beyond.

In the IT, Digital & Data function you will shape delivery, advise on due diligence, drive improvement, and ensure new assets and systems are integrated securely. This role requires strong communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading IT change, transformation, integration or business improvement programmes.
• Strong programme or project management capability with recognised qualifications.
• Experience applying change management principles to deliver organisational change.
• Knowledge of IT service management best practice and portfolio management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication, including with senior leaders.
• Experience in energy sector or asset-intensive industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology due diligence, integration and change activities for acquisitions.
• Advise senior leaders on technology risks, opportunities and integration.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance service delivery and efficiency.

Our client, an Oil and Gas Operator in Aberdeen is seeking an experienced IT Change Manager. This is an initial 12 month PAYE contract role with a hybrid working system in place.

The Role

We are looking for an IT Change Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting our continued growth across the UK and beyond. Working within our IT, Digital & Data function, you will lead the technology aspects of acquisitions, integrations and business change initiatives, helping ensure that new assets, systems and teams are successfully brought into the client’s environment

This is a highly visible role, acting as the trusted technology partner throughout the M&A lifecycle. You will provide expert insight during due diligence activities, identify opportunities and risks, and develop practical integration strategies that deliver long-term value for the business

Alongside supporting acquisitions, you will drive a programme of continuous improvement across the IT, Digital & Data function. From simplifying processes and improving ways of working to optimising application roadmaps and addressing legacy challenges, you will help ensure our technology landscape remains efficient, secure and fit for the future.

Success in this role requires strong Communication, bringing together colleagues, partners and suppliers to achieve shared outcomes. You will build trusted relationships across multiple functions, influencing stakeholders at all levels and ensuring everyone remains aligned through periods of change.

Leadership & Responsibilities:

• Lead technology due diligence, integration and change activities associated with acquisitions and business growth initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on technology risks, opportunities and integration strategies.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading IT change, transformation, integration or business improvement programmes.
• Strong programme or project management capability, supported by recognised qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Experience applying change management principles to deliver successful organisational and technology change.
• Knowledge of IT service management best practice and technology roadmap or application portfolio management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leadership teams.
• Experience within the energy sector or another regulated, asset-intensive industry would be advantageous.
