Job summary

National Highways seeks an experienced IT Audit Manager to lead the IT audit function within the Corporate Risk and Assurance division. You will plan, supervise, and deliver IT internal audits and assurance engagements across the organisation.

You will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, oversee audit reporting, and help drive robust risk management and governance across England’s road network. Occasional travel to regional offices is expected.

Qualifications

• CISA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience leading IT audit teams and line management.
• Proven ability to develop audit strategies and annual plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop IT audit teams, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
• Review audit documentation from terms of reference to final report.
• Present key audit findings to Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
