Job summary

Gold Care Homes is seeking an IT Assistant to provide on-site and remote IT support across multiple care homes in the UK. You will install and maintain equipment, support staff with technical issues, and ensure systems are secure, reliable, and fully operational.

The role requires handling Windows 11 deployments, VoIP systems (3CX), and device management across sites. Driving licence and a willingness to work flexibly are essential; CompTIA A+ / Network+ credentials are desirable but not

Responsibilities

  • Deliver remote telephone support, explaining technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Support and maintain hardware, software, printers, scanners, networks, and secure print solutions.
  • Manage Windows 11, mobile devices, tablets, and Apple iPads deployment and maintenance.
  • Support VoIP communication systems, including installation and maintenance of 3CX phones.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting for computer, network, and software issues across multiple sites.
  • Investigate root causes of incidents and support service improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with software updates, licensing compliance, and infrastructure security.
  • Support projects, knowledgebase documentation, and provide team cover during busy periods.

Gold Care Homes was established in 1999 and has since grown to operate 45 care homes across the South of England. The group offers a range of services which includes residential, nursing, frail elderly and dementia care.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a IT Assistant to provide on-site and remote IT support across multiple care homes. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining equipment, supporting staff with technical issues, and ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

Working Requirements:
  • Standard hours: 09:00 – 17:30, with flexibility for projects, system upgrades, and urgent support.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • No sponsorship available.
  • CompTIA A+ / Network+ certifications are desirable but not essential.
