Location: Warwick with occasional travel.
Salary: up to £23,000 depending on experience.
Apprenticeship Course: Information Communications Technician (Level 3) or Digital Support Technician (Level 3).

As a Business Systems IT Apprentice, you will support the integration of new technologies, assist in testing procedures, validate system and process integration, document results, and help with system administration and end-user setup. This role offers structured learning across IT project management, systems support, infrastructure, and business intelligence.

You will work closely with experienced professionals in Warwick and dealer environments, supporting legacy systems while gaining hands-on experience with new platforms, and achieving a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification. You will be part of a team of 8, rotating across departments and working cross-functionally with the IT team.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute test plans, ensuring systems meet specifications and performance standards, and share results with the team.
  2. Validate that systems support business functions and integrate processes accordingly.
  3. Provide end-user support for Volvo IT dealer systems.
  4. Maintain documentation including configurations, manuals, troubleshooting guides, and reports.
  5. Assist in hardware, software, and network setup under senior technicians’ guidance.
  6. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.

Who Are You?
Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 knowledge, especially Excel (advantageous).
  • Effective communication skills, strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Preferred: driver’s license.
  • GCSE or A-level qualifications; additional IT certifications are advantageous.
  • Understanding of IT environments and networked services.
  • Interest in hardware, operating systems, software, and networking.
  • Cybersecurity awareness and data confidentiality commitment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration.
  • Excellent communication for technical support and presentations.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
