Job summary

Veolia is recruiting for a Contract Leader to oversee the Isle of Wight contract. You will manage senior client relationships, drive performance reporting and negotiate variations, while leading a large, multi-site team and ensuring robust P&L ownership.

You will be responsible for direct operations at Lynbottom Waste Management Facility and Afton Marsh HWRC, including a fleet of around 40 vehicles, and you will drive continuous improvement and compliance across all sites.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a large collection or integrated waste contract.
• Full P&L ownership and financial decision-making experience.
• Experience leading multi-site operational teams and talent development.
• Strong senior-level client liaison and contract negotiation skills.
• Advanced business acumen with focus on continuous improvements and efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Isle of Wight Contract as Veolia's Contract Representative, overseeing client meetings, performance reporting, and variations.
• Direct operational responsibility for Lynbottom Waste Management Facility and Afton Marsh HWRC, with municipal, clinical and commercial collections and a ~40-vehicle fleet.
• Direct team management of 8 managers and ~120 employees, including development and succession planning.
• Own full P&L for the contract and develop budgets and business plans for new projects and variations.
• Ensure service delivery aligns with contract specs, monitor KPIs, deliver client reporting, and maintain site availability.
