Job summary

Veolia on the Isle of Wight is seeking a Lead for the Mechanical Treatment and Material Recovery Facility to oversee operations and maintenance, ensuring high plant availability and meeting production targets.

The role requires leadership in a large manufacturing/recycling setting, strong HSE expertise, and financial acumen to manage budgets and drive continuous improvements across teams.

Qualifications

• Leadership and management experience with health and safety and environmental compliance.
• Experience leading a large manufacturing/recycling facility.
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
• Knowledge of machinery and process equipment; ability to drive improvements.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate MT/MRF operations and maintenance to meet targets.
• Ensure output specifications meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate functions to deliver budgeted financial and technical performance.
• Maintain robust plans for breakdowns, maintenance and plant performance reports.
• Lead improvement projects, drive efficiencies and cost savings.
• Record incidents and manage KPIs across technical, operational and financial domains.
