Job summary

Veolia Isle of Wight is seeking a proactive Plant Manager to lead the Mechanical Treatment and Materials Recovery Facility, overseeing operations and maintenance to maximise plant availability and performance. You will ensure compliance with output specifications, environmental permits, and Veolia standards while managing budgets and driving improvements.

Qualifications

• Leadership and management experience with health and safety awareness.
• Experience leading a large manufacturing/recycling facility.
• Experience with health, safety and environmental compliance and waste management.
• Technical proficiency with machinery and process equipment; strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate MT/MRF operations and maintenance to meet availability and production targets.
• Ensure output specs meet customer/regulatory requirements and Veolia standards.
• Coordinate functions to deliver budgets, revenue, costs and profit targets.
• Plan for breakdowns and maintenance to minimise downtime and report on KPIs.
• Lead site improvement projects to boost plant efficiency and cost savings.
• Record and process incidents and maintain KPI tracking.
