Job summary

The IoT Solutions Consultant Apprentice role at The ITP is based in Huddersfield. You will work with customers and technology partners to identify needs and propose suitable IoT solutions, using CRM tools and collaborative team support.

No prior IoT experience is required; you will receive training across NB-IoT, IoT sensors, gateways, platforms and solution design, with progression into related roles in a growing sector.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a customer-facing role is desirable.
  • Interest in technology and innovation with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

The Role

This isnot a traditional sales role.

AsanIoT Solutions Consultant Apprentice, your primary responsibility willbe to work with customers and technology partners to understand what they aretrying to achieve and recommend the most appropriate IoT solution.

You willact as a consultant, engaging with customers via video calls, email, MicrosoftTeams, telephone and online messaging to identify their requirements.

By askingthe right questions, you will determine which products, technologies andservices are needed to create the best possible solution for the customer'sobjectives.

Once thesolution has been identified, you will create quotations and manageopportunities through our CRM system from first enquiry through to successfulorder completion.

You'llbecome a trusted advisor to customers whilst developing expertise in one of themost exciting technology sectors in the world.

WhatYou'll Be Doing
  • Responding to inboundenquiries and partner referrals.
  • Speaking with customers tounderstand their project requirements.
  • Asking technical andcommercial questions to identify the best solution.
  • Recommending IoT products,sensors, gateways, connectivity and software platforms.
  • Creating solution proposalsand quotations.
  • Registering and managingopportunities within our CRM system.
  • Recording customerinteractions, requirements and recommendations.
  • Managing opportunities frominitial enquiry through to order placement.
  • Liaising with manufacturersand technology partners.
  • Building strongrelationships with customers and solution integrators.
  • Learning about emerging IoTtechnologies and industry trends.
  • Working alongsideexperienced sales, technical and operations teams.

Pleasenote:Technical support activities are handled by our dedicated supportteam and do not form part of this position.
