Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking an Investor Strategy Manager to lead the investor strategy capability and align investor insight with NESO plans. Based in Warwick with hybrid working, you will build a high-performing team, develop relationships with investors and capital markets, and translate policy and market developments into actionable funding strategies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in investor strategy, investor relations, infrastructure investment, capital markets or a related field.
• Experience in energy or infrastructure sector with understanding of commercial mechanisms and financing.
• Strong relationship builder and influencer across senior stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex policy and market issues into strategic insights.
• Strong leadership skills and hands-on delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of NESO's investor strategy capability, translating organisational priorities, investor insight and market developments into a clear plan of work, and being accountable for the team's output.
• Build trusted relationships with investors and other capital market participants and identify material investor-related risks.
• Embed investor perspectives into NESO's programmes and decisions early to shape them, working with teams across NESO.
• Provide credible investor intelligence that informs strategic decision-making and monitor market conditions and risks.
• Lead commercial advisory work across NESO programmes, developing financing approaches and ensuring solutions are credible and deliverable.
• Provide line management and coaching to specialists as the team grows.
