Job summary

East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust is recruiting an Interim Supplies and Inventory Assistant to join the Procurement and Supplies team. This site-based role focuses on the movement, receipt and control of essential supplies across locations, using inventory systems to record transactions and ensure on-time delivery.

You will monitor stock, perform routine checks, work with colleagues to resolve issues, and provide a professional, responsive service to staff.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent practical experience.
• Full UK driving licence (C1) with up to six points.
• Experience in a customer-focused role with strong communication skills.
• Confidence using handheld barcode equipment, Microsoft Office and operational systems; training provided.
• Strong organisational, teamwork and problem-solving abilities; able to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, store and issue consumables accurately and per procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, replenish and help maintain availability of essential supplies.
• Use handheld barcode equipment and systems to record transactions.
• Transport stock, mail, items between locations safely and on schedule.
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service and respond to queries promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, timesheets and other operating information.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and report defects or incidents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve supply issues and support service improvements.
