Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Inventory Management Assistant to join our Procurement Department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. You will join a team responsible for replenishing stock and ensuring stock is available across wards and departments.

The role requires good communication, accuracy in stock levels, experience with purchasing or stock control courses, and the ability to work flexibly to cover holidays and sickness.

Qualifications

• Experience with ordering systems Genesis, SBS Oracle, and NHSSC systems.
• Experience in setting order levels and procurement.
• Experience in inventory management on wards and departments.
• GCSEs in Maths and English; willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Replenishing stock in wards and departments.
• Receipting of goods and maintaining stock levels.
• Finding stock replacements when items are out of stock.
• Agree levels of stock with Ward Managers/Sisters.
• Liaise with Category team regarding new stock and stockouts.
• Manual handling – unload stock onto shelves; move roll cages.
• Regular stock takes; support peers during holidays/sickness.
