A leading company in healthcare is seeking a dedicated Inventory Specialist to manage pharmacy inventory and enhance customer experience. The role involves overseeing inventory processes, engaging customers, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. Candidates should have retail experience and strong problem-solving skills to contribute effectively to the team.
The role involves executing, monitoring, and training staff on inventory best practices and SOPs across the store, including front end and pharmacy. Responsibilities include pharmacy inventory activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and returns. The candidate champions On-Shelf Availability, manages inventory processes, and validates planograms.
Additional duties encompass reviewing reports and system applications impacting inventory accuracy, executing asset protection techniques, and handling claims related to overages, shortages, and damaged goods, including prescription drugs. In some stores, responsibilities extend to opening and closing the store, including cash handling and ensuring readiness for business.
Engage customers proactively, resolve issues, and model excellent customer service practices to ensure a positive experience.
Manage warehouse and vendor inventory processes, oversee delivery scans, verify pharmacy shipments, and complete end-to-end On-Shelf Availability processes. Support pharmacy inventory activities, pricing updates, and inventory compliance with laws. Maintain accurate inventory counts, support physical inventories, and ensure store cleanliness and organization. Assist with package deliveries, POS operations, and compliance with company policies. Also, support training and communication within the team.
Participate in company training, complete e-learning modules, and maintain necessary pharmacy licenses or certifications.
Act as a liaison between management and staff, communicate tasks, and report issues. Requirements include prior retail or Walgreens experience, fluency in English, flexible schedule, good performance ratings, attention to detail, and operational problem-solving skills.
