Orion Electrotech is seeking a reliable Stores Operative in Bassingbourn to join the Supply Chain team. The role focuses on picking, packing, dispatch coordination, and maintaining efficient stores to support production and customer deliveries.

The ideal candidate has experience in stores/warehouse environments, strong packing/dispatch skills, and familiarity with ERP/inventory systems. A detail‑oriented, collaborative approach is essential in a busy operation.

Qualifications

Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory environment.
Strong picking, packing and dispatch experience.
Good attention to detail with an organised and methodical approach to stock control.
Experience using ERP, warehouse management or inventory systems.
Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a busy operational environment.
Strong communication skills and a team‑focused attitude.

Responsibilities

Picking, packing and issuing materials to production.
Organising daily dispatch activities and preparing shipments for UK and international customers.
Booking goods in and out, maintaining accurate stock records and updating ERP systems.
Keeping the stores area organised, ensuring stock accuracy and supporting inventory control activities.
Verifying deliveries against purchase orders and investigating discrepancies.
Supporting production requirements while ensuring compliance with quality and health & safety procedures.
