• Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory environment.
• Strong picking, packing and dispatch experience.
• Good attention to detail with an organised and methodical approach to stock control.
• Experience using ERP, warehouse management or inventory systems.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a busy operational environment.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and issuing materials to production.
• Organising daily dispatch activities and preparing shipments for UK and international customers.
• Booking goods in and out, maintaining accurate stock records and updating ERP systems.
• Keeping the stores area organised, ensuring stock accuracy and supporting inventory control activities.
• Verifying deliveries against purchase orders and investigating discrepancies.
• Supporting production requirements while ensuring compliance with quality and health & safety procedures.

An established manufacturing and engineering business is looking for a reliable and organised Stores Operative to join its Supply Chain team. This is a hands‑on role focused on picking and packing, coordinating dispatch activities, maintaining an efficient stores area, and ensuring materials are available to support production and customer deliveries.

The role of a Stores Operative will include:

• Picking, packing and issuing materials to production


• Organising daily dispatch activities and preparing shipments for UK and international customers
