Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Material Handler/Inventory Control Assistant for our Birmingham site. This temporary, full-time role operates Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:00, with an hourly rate of £13.53 and a 3-month contract length.

Responsibilities include daily cycle counts, locating and counting inventory, verifying part numbers and locations, recording counts, and flagging discrepancies for investigation. PPE is provided to ensure safety across warehouse environments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory counting is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with manual-handling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Completing daily cycle-count lists efficiently.
• Physically locating and accurately counting inventory items.
• Verifying part numbers and storage locations to ensure accuracy.
• Recording physical count quantities and performing recounts as necessary.
• Flagging discrepancies for prompt investigation and resolution.
• Checking stock-location accuracy and identifying misplaced or incorrectly labelled inventory.
• Supporting inventory clean-up and location-control activities.
• Assisting with physical inventory and audit preparation tasks.
• Collaborating with the inventory team to maintain routine inventory-control tasks.
