Job summary
Dematic Customer Services is seeking a Shift Maintenance Technician in the United Kingdom to maintain, repair and support material handling equipment on customer sites. You will aim to meet KPI targets, perform scheduled maintenance and diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
The role requires an engineering background, familiarity with conveyor systems, and a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3/ONC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- IOSH Working Safely (desirable).
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Working at height experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair and support equipment within the agreed Dematic scope of contract on the customer site.
- Aim to achieve KPI targets and ensure delivery to customer and Dematic expectations.
- Undertake scheduled repairs in line with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
- Diagnose Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, PLC faults and perform repairs.
- Record all work accurately and maintain safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and keep on-site spares at optimum levels.
