Job summary

Dematic in the United Kingdom is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support first-line maintenance on automated material handling systems within warehouses and distribution centres. You will perform routine tasks, assist technicians, and help keep downtime to a minimum.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical machinery.
• Experience of working in a warehouse or automated environment.
• Fair/Good IT skills.
• Strong customer focus and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first line response to faults on or around automated material handling equipment.
• Receive and complete work orders within planned or reactive assignments.
• Resolve faults and blockages within agreed timescales to ensure service delivery.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
• Assist maintenance technician with daily tasks and breakdowns.
• Represent the company professionally and maintain customer relations.
