NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Band 6 Charge Nurse – Interventional Radiology to provide visible clinical leadership within a busy IR service. You will support service improvement, clinical governance and staff development.

The post is permanent, rotational across QEUH, Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Gartnavel General Hospital, working 36 hours over 5 days per week with on-call out of hours.

Formación

• Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Educated to degree level or working towards degree-level practice.
• Significant post-registration experience in Interventional Radiology or related clinical specialty.
• Demonstrable leadership experience within a clinical team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate staff while managing competing priorities.
• Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous service improvement.
• Willingness to work across multiple hospital sites and participate in on-call duties.

Responsabilidades

• Provide visible clinical and professional leadership within Interventional Radiology.
• Deputise for the Senior Charge Nurse as required.
• Coordinate daily clinical activity, patient flow, and resource allocation.
• Ensure delivery of safe, effective, person-centred care to standards.
• Support staff development through supervision, mentorship and education.
• Lead by example in maintaining high clinical standards and evidence-based practice.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement and governance.
• Foster multidisciplinary teamwork and a positive team culture.
• Participate in IR out-of-hours on-call service.
• Support delivery across QEUH, GRI and Gartnavel General Hospital through rotation.
