Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is recruiting for a Clinical Sister / Charge Nurse in Interventional Radiology. The role involves clinical leadership, scrubbing for procedures, and care of acutely unwell patients in a dynamic radiology department.

You will participate in a development programme, manage sedation and recovery, and rotate shifts including on-call duties. Immunisation records and suitability for lead protection clothing are required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for interventional procedures and administer intravenous conscious sedation.
• Monitor and recover patients and manage post-sedation and post-anesthetic care.
• Provide clinical leadership and on-call support.
• Assist with pre-assessment of IR day case patients and ward assessments.
• Support nurse assessor and nurse preceptor roles.
• Work with a rotating shift pattern including on-call requirements.
