Job summary

Protocol Education is working with a school in Kingswood, Bristol, to recruit a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant for small group interventions and student support as the new academic year begins.

You will deliver interventions, assist the class teacher, help children develop learning, and manage behaviour with a calm, patient approach. DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a school setting.
  • Some experience with SEN/ behaviour management or an interest in developing skills.
  • Team player, willing to build relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A calm, patient and supportive approach to learning.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to get one.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're working with a school in Kingswood who are preparing for the new academic year and they're on the lookout for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to run small group intervetions.

Your responsbilities will include:

  • Delivering small group interventions
  • Supporting children with their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher to bring lessons to life
  • Confidentlty managing behaviour
  • Supporting children with additional needs

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a school setting
