Job summary

Peak School, part of Esteem Multi-Academy Trust, is seeking an Intervention Assistant to support pupils with literacy, numeracy and communication skills. The role focuses on individualised learning, developing independence and positive behaviours within a collaborative team.

The post is 32.5 hours/week across 41 weeks/year (Term Time Only + 2). DBS enhanced check required; training and development opportunities are provided by the Trust.

Qualifications

• Kind and patient approach to pupils in diverse needs.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills within SEND context.
• DBS check required and compliance with safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to develop literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Help pupils engage in appropriately adapted learning and progress toward learning outcomes.
• Support independence, social, emotional, sensory and physical needs, including during community learning and school activities.
• Build positive relationships and celebrate pupils' progress and achievements.
